The focus of National Recovery Month (Recovery Month) this September is to celebrate their journey with the theme Join the Voices for Recovery: Invest in Health, Home, Purpose, and Community. Recovery Month spreads the message that behavioral health is essential to health and one’s overall wellness, and that prevention works, treatment is. September is National Recovery Month. S eptember is National Recovery Awareness Month.. This year’s theme is “Join the Voices for Recovery: Our Families, Our Stories, Our Recovery! Every September, the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) sponsors Recovery Month to increase awareness and understanding of mental and substance use .
The Recovery Month theme, “Join the Voices for Recovery: Together We Are Stronger,” emphasizes the need to share resources and build networks to support the many paths to recovery. It reminds us that mental health and substance use disorders affect . This year’s theme is “Join the Voices for Recovery: Visible, Vocal, Valuable!” It encourages us all to do our part to eliminate negative public attitudes associated with substance use disorders and treatment. People in recovery are part of our communities — they are our family and friends, colleagues and neighbors — and by supporting.
